"We just had Rooster Morris visit our school this morning. He was awesome!! All of my students, Pre-K to 6th grade, sat the entire hour without moving! My principal even came to me after the program and said to book him again next year. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to book an author."
~Mary Perry, District Librarian, Valley View, Texas
"The students and adults were very encouraged by Mr. Morris' presentation. I received an email from one of our special ed. teachers this morning. She said one of her students, who struggles to read and struggles in "wanting" to read purchased a book yesterday and during our final 45 minutes of our school day yesterday he was focused on reading his book about Axle! One of our second graders that also struggles came to me this morning and said that she was on page 3 of her book and she was going to read three more pages tonight. Then she hugged me. Thank you, again for the impact of your presentation!"

"Rooster Morris has come to our school twice and performed for our students. They just love him. He is a very talented writer as his Axle Galench books show. His creative imagination just runs wild with the creation of his unusual characters. Mr. Morris makes each and everyone of them come to life as he portrays them with the help of his musical instruments and his very talented voice. The students not only enjoy his creative stories, but they very much enjoy his musical talent as well. Mr. Morris is also very good at involving the students in his performance. They enjoy joining him on stage to help him sing his songs and perform his musical instruments. The students and teachers enjoy Mr. Morris’ programs!"

"Rooster's first visit to our campus ended up providing an entire day of excitement for our students. He performed during the school day so all the students had a chance to hear and participate with him, and then he came back that night to perform for the students and their families. This visit set off a reading frenzy of Rooster's Axle Galench books. The librarian ordered additional copies for the library and teachers ordered class sets to use during instruction.
"Rooster also conducted several writing workshops for our fourth grade students. The teachers were very complimentary of his work and felt it had a big impact on their student's writing. They continue to use his strategies during writing instruction.
"Rooster has always been professional, supportive, and dependable. He treats the children with respect and works hard to provide an entertaining, instructional presentation. He always wants to know what he can to do improve his performance or make it more applicable to our school. Rooster has been a valuable asset to our campus' instructional program."
~Pam Kaufmann, Principal, Rockdale Elementary
Rooster was at Giddings a couple of years ago and was a great success. He had our students laughing, singing, thinking, and having a very good time. He presented to our elementary school, grades K-3, with over 500 students; then did a program for the intermediate school, grades 4-6, with about 400 in attendance. After his Axle Galench program, he visited with some of our 4th grade classes and talked with them about writing. My 4th grade teachers were full of praise and expressed the wish that we had had him before TAKS! Rooster also did an evening performance for parents and families of our intermediate students. The crowd loved him! Rooster has a special talent for getting and keeping the attention of his young audience, but beyond that, he relates to those youngsters and is able to get them to respond and really get involved in a critical thinking situation.
~LaNell French, Librarian, Giddings Elementary, Giddings, Texas
"We have had the privilege of having Rooster perform at our Elementary campus on two occasions and both performances have been outstanding. When evaluating performers to come to our District I look at several factors, Rooster meets all of those factors and more. His professionalism before, during, and after the performances is great. His incorporation of the writing workshop program for the older students is a great compliment to our efforts in meeting the various testing programs we are required to participate in by the Texas Education Agency. Rooster also has the ability, through the various performance avenues he uses to capture and hold the children’s attention during the performances. He is a great reader of students and has the ability to adjust “on the fly” when his sees the children’s minds start to wander."
~James B. Cowley Ed.D., Assistant Superintendent, Sunnyvale I.S.D.
Rooster performed in the last school where I worked and I was fortunate to have him again in my new school. Rooster obviously has worked diligently to provide a program that the students both enjoy and learn from. My teachers asked to purchase class sets of his books. They have used them along with our curriculum and the students have thoroughly enjoyed it. Rooster is knowledgeable, professional, and very entertaining!
