The illustrations were created by Scott Cummins, art teacher, pumpkin sculptor, and popular children's illustrator. Scott captures the feel of New Mexico and the people with his eye-catching drawings. All illustrations are available in black and white or color.
This story has four installments and four illustrations. It is targeted to third through fifth grade readers. Interest level is second grade and up. There is an activity guide for use by teachers in the classroom available for an additional charge.
