In John Erickson’s latest Hank the Cowdog serial story, The Case of the Runaway Windmill, Slim the Cowboy is doing maintenance on the ranch’s windmills when he decides to forego the safety of the windmill brake and climbs a windmill tower when there is a storm on the horizon. When the storm moves in quicker than he expected, he is trapped atop the tower! Hank and Drover must run back to Ranch Headquarters and get help. But, on the way, they run into the coyote brothers who were not pleased with the encoded message Hank left for them on the legs of the windmill. Now they are fighting mad and ready to take it out on Hank and Drover. How will Hank get out of this latest mess?
